Your work always leaves me in awe! I am left with a feeling of serenity after viewing your houses, which comes from the fact that they are so completely and uniquely American and not at all glamorized by the artist. They are so real (not realistic),it is as if the paint and the canvas dissolve, and I find myself gazing at the simpler and calmer world of my childhood. In choosing houses as the subject of your paintings...the scaffolding upon which to place and manipulate color... you have inadvertently tied all human emotion to them. The houses we have lived in throughout our lives, are second only to our bodies as the "containers" of our lives. Therefore the response to your work will certainly be a visceral one by the viewer.
